The grass at my house is turning green!!! The pond is flowing, the trees are have tiny little buds everywhere. What a relief, winter is over!!!
This summer is very exciting for me. Kim Seybert who owns one of the most beautiful TABLETOP companies will be coming to our store for a TRUNKSHOW in early August. I can’t wait, not only will she be bring more summer ideas, she will also bringing new fall tabletop. I don’t want to get ahead of myself, I only want to think of summer, dinner in the patio, birthday parties for friends, romantic dinners and dancing in our fruit orchard………
Some of my very favorite pieces from Kim Seybert are her outdoor melamine products, napkins and napkin rings. Most of her pieces and the colors are all about the beauty of nature.
The Junior league division of the Sun Valley Center has just published the new Entertainment book “Entertaining Sun Valley Style”. The Galleria hosted a beautiful soiree with the help of Justin Williams, publisher of the new “ Sun Valley Property New”. Photos were taken, bits of food from extraordinaire caterers Judith McQueen, Zoe, and Penelopes were passed about. Flowers from Taylor’d Events were raffled off – the most beautiful flowers in the Valley if I do say so myself and a great time had by all!!!!! Watch for all the “Vanity Faire” type photos that will be published in the new magazine. Everyone loves seeing themselves at a great party!!!
Happy summer. Tomorrow I am off on a buying trip for the store. Sun Valley is so beautiful right now, I hate to leave!
Ta Ta for now
“Entertaining Sun Valley Style” is available at my store Bellissimo $50 or at our online store click here.
Last Sunday my dear friend Dana, who I call “Sis” and I decided to make apple pie. Now for those of you who know me, know I love to cook, but baking no no no. In the back of our house facing south I planted an orchard a few years ago. I was inspired by my dear friend Candy Forstman who has the greenest thumb on the planet. My plans to have a California swimming pool back there were dwindling, so what better idea than to plant. My orchard consists of two pear trees, two cherry trees, two apricot and two apple trees. I am not a big farmer. Lo and behold one of my apple trees bloomed this year and all these wonderful tasty “applelets” popped up. Sunday arrives and as you can see we are picking apples, eating apples, throwing apples for the dogs as pretend balls. It is the second apple pie I have ever made and it was fun, the house smelled wonderful and life was peaceful again in the little house of Murphy.
Happy Fall to all of you, may you and your families stay warm and healthy.
